Our private wine tour with Xavi was the top highlight of our entire honeymoon. Xavi instantly felt like a friend and he his local expertise was priceless. He arranged a day that we would not have been able to do on our own and he even worked with his contacts at the winery to prepare special surprises for us throughout the day that were curated to our honeymoon celebration and preferences he remembered us sharing. He took us to beautiful vantage points during our drive, took many photos for us and made an amazing video. I can't speak highly enough about our experience. In addition to the wine tour he offered so much guidance for our time in Barcelona/Penedes. He made winery and restaurant recommendations and helped connect us with a transfer company since we didn't have a car. He went above and beyond in every way! I would give this 10 stars if I could :)

Highly recommended! My wife and I went on a tour to the Priorat wine region with our guide, Xavi. His knowledge of the area and wine, attention to detail,  and the extra thoughtful touches (pictures slide show of the trip) made this a very personalized and enriching experience. It's clear that this is a company that does things right and cares about the quality of their service. To sum up, the tour exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to going on another wine trip with them!

Fantastic experience! In place of our canceled trip to Spain, Xavi was able to put together a virtual wine tour and tasting. Helped us select wines from the Priorat region and provided a fun and informative tasting for us. Can’t wait to visit in person.

With our trip to Spain canceled, I reached out to Xavi and Top Wine Experience to see if they could put together a virtual tour instead. He delivered above and beyond, helping us select wines from local stores that we could taste together and bringing in friends from a local winery to tell us more about the region and grapes.

He took us through a tour of Catalan wine and focused on the Priorat region, with the three red wines and Cava we had selected and provided a fun and informative tasting with us. It made for such a fun birthday surprise. Can’t wait to visit in person!

This was such an amazing experience and Xavi was such a great host! We made a couple of great historical stops and we learned so much about the wine region of Penedes. I definitely recommend this experience!

Xavi and Jordi were amazing hosts! We learned so much about the wine region and the history of Catalunya! They were so caring and they personalized the tour to our interests! The winery tour was also fantastic! We got to meet the owner, take a personal tour, and taste their best wine! It was truly an experience of a lifetime! You don’t want to miss a day with Xavi and Jordi!

The trip was a wonderful experience. We went to Winery Can Bas, learned about their winemaking process, about the soil, grape varieties, about the region and the wines types made in this particular region. Xavi is very knowledgeable, he basically can answer any question about winemaking... and he is very passionate about it as well. The tour was great, the wines were fabulous. We also learned about a very unique wine they make in Roman amphoras and walked along the Via Augusta-the "Roman Highway". Definitely recommended!

I booked a wine tour in Penedes in October for my group of 3 and it was an unforgettable experience! Xavi was a wonderful guide - professional, knowledgeable and a lot of fun! I would 100% recommend this experience to anyone considering it! There are so many wineries in the region that I asked Xavi for his recommendations and they were fantastic - I now have a favorite wine thanks to one of his recommendations (Recaredo!)

Xavi at Top Wine Experience is fantastic! He curated a spectacular private tour for my husband and I in September, a birthday treat for him. The wineries provided private guides who were delightful, knowledgeable, and so friendly. When planning the visit, Xavi said he would put together something wonderful, and he truly did just that. Xavi of Top Wine Experience was fantastic. He curated a wonderful private tour for my husband and I in Penedes. The Cava wineries visited provided private guides who were knowledgeable and friendly. Xavi really went the extra mile for us as our visit was on a Sunday (many wineries closed on Sunday). The trip was memorable  and I highly recommend Xavi and his company.

Xavi was an incredible host. He was a lot of fun and gave us some great history about the region as we drove to the first winery. It was fun learning about the wines from him and from the winery host, and it was even more fun trying wines straight from the barrels. The museum house in Porrera was fascinating, and the experience there was amazing as well... beautiful views, great wines, interesting history, and fun conversations.

Such a fantastic experience. Xavier chose an amazing vineyard, took us to some incredible sights, and then old us an incredible narrative about the history of the region. I highly recommend this for anyone visiting!

This was a fantastic experience and Xavi was a great guide. It was great to get out of the city and into wine country. Xavi had local knowledge -- everything from history and geography to grape-growing and wine production -- and a lot of passion for the region and the subject matter. He made the experience fun and informative. The vineyard was gorgeous, the area had lots of history, and the wine was great. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone interested in wine or an escape into the countryside.

This was truly eye-opening for me.  Not only did I learn a lot about the region and production methods, I also got a ton of great information about terminology and tasting.  Plus we visited a 2700 year old Roman site, which is cool.

Xavi is an absolute treasure of a person and tour guide.  Knowledgeable, professional, and engaging.  That dude rules.

Wonderful experience!!

Xavier was the perfect guide . We booked the tour very late and he went out of his way to make accommodations at an amazing winery. Before and after the winery he gave us some history of the area that was very helpful . He is on time, responds to messages quickly and takes great care of his guests. Great experience!

Xavi was very knowledgeable on the region and the history. He had great connections at the wineries and the local community. We visited a very modern winery with excellent Priorat Wines and took a tour of their terrace vineyards. The wine tasting after the tour was exceptional. We then toured a local museum with a lot of history and also a historic weapons exhibit. After the museum tour we tasted more wines from Priorat. Our day concluded with a very nice lunch at a local restaurant called Restaruant La Cooperativ. Trip was the highlight of our stay in Penedes and worth the drive to Priorat region. Xavi took pictures for us during the entire trip and emailed them to us the next day, very well organized but flexible when need be.

Xavi is a great guide and really wants you to understand what makes wines of the area special. We had a great morning, thank you!

Xavi was an incredible tour guide for our wine tour. He was so well immersed in the topic and took us to such fantastic spots throughout the journey. It was raining during our trip and Xavi still managed to give us the most amazing wine tour I’ve ever gone on. The vineyard we visited went deep into the history of the winery and really focused on the characteristics that set it apart. Most other wine tours just do a basic tour and start a quick tasting and then just ignore you. This was an experience all on its own! I would highly recommend it to any oenophiles.

We had such a great time with Chavi! He was extremely prompt and communicative, drove us in a small group to a winery (great to have a driver instead of driving) and we were the only ones there! We got to spend a great deal of time at each place and everyone was hospitable and well informed. A wonderful day out.

Xavier guided my family and I through the Cava Llopart winery and Monserrat monastery for an all day tour! He was incredibly nice and was more than willing to make any reasonable adjusts to the itinerary for requests you may have if you want to see something along the way. He told us all about the history of the places we saw and he is very familiar with the culture, geography, and people of Spain; it was a real treat being guided by him!

This wine tour was definitely more than what we expected. Xavi is very accommodating and super nice. The actual wine tour was great. The vineyard we visited was rich in history. The architecture mixed the old (built in the 10th century) and the new. The wine tasting was held in the old part of the main building which was an old home. It was great! The wines we tasted were great but the locally made olive oil was too die for. After the wine tasting we went up one of the nearby hills to look at the expansive wine country. You would have seen Monserrat in a clear day. The last part of the of trip was seeing having a picnic with locally made sweets and some wine pairing. the location of the picnic was in a hill rich with history. From a old church to actual “sitges” on the ground. This tour definitely gave us more than a wine tour but also an introduction to locals and its land.
